Walk Lake Merritt at dusk. The 3-mile path is flat and continuous, and the Necklace of Lights — 176 lampposts carrying 4,000 lights, installed in 1925, dark through the Second World War and restored in 1987 — comes on around the entire circumference with the downtown towers behind it.
